CLASS II & III BIKE LANE PS&E

City of Anaheim

ADVANTEC designed Class II bike lanes and Class III Sharrows to connect West Anaheim to the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC) via the Santa Ana River Trail, supporting sustainable travel for the region’s expected 20 million annual visitors. Designed for the City of Anaheim and regional commuters, the project improves bicycle access to ARTIC and nearby areas while enhancing safety for both recreational and commuter cyclists. This nearly eight-mile network is expected to reduce vehicle trips and emissions and improve air quality over a 15-year horizon. ADVANTEC provided full engineering design services for 3.77 miles of Class II bike lanes and 4.19 miles of Class III sharrows, as identified in the City’s Fourth Supervisorial District Bikeways Strategic Plan and supported by OCTA and Anaheim’s Bicycle Master Plan. The project connects bike users to Metrolink, Amtrak, and local bus transit options, enhancing first- and last-mile mobility for residents and visitors alike.
