David Madera is the Director of ADVANTEC’s Diamond Bar office and a registered Civil and Traffic Engineer with over 25 years of experience in traffic and transportation engineering. He has a comprehensive technical background in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) planning and design, traffic signal and transit engineering, transportation planning, and construction management.

David has extensive experience developing signing, striping, stage construction, and traffic control plans. He is skilled in designing traffic signal systems, lighting, communication systems, ITS and Toll infrastructure. His work includes preparing plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for roadway facilities managed by cities, counties, and Caltrans. Additionally, he conducts intersection capacity and impact analyses, as well as traffic studies, and prepares transportation management plans and conceptual designs for highway and intersection improvements. 

He is recognized for his effective project management and communication skills, successfully coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, agencies, and stakeholders throughout all phases of project delivery. 

David holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He is a licensed Professional Civil and Traffic Engineer in California and an active member of the Orange County Traffic Engineering Council (OCTEC), ITS CA, and the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), where he serves as Vice President of the Riverside/ San Bernardino Chapter (RSBITE).
