Project description example

ADVANTEC completed the Traffic Signal Synchronization Project for the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) along Edinger Avenue, involving 38 intersections across the cities of Huntington Beach, Santa Ana, Westminster, and Fountain Valley. The project aimed to reduce travel time, stops, fuel consumption, and emissions while improving travel speeds and overall safety. ADVANTEC developed and implemented synchronized signal timing plans for all peak periods, supporting inter-jurisdictional coordination. Infrastructure enhancements included the installation of wireless radio communication, fiber optic cable, Ethernet switches, Bluetooth monitoring devices, CCTV cameras, and additional loop detectors. The project also included repairing damaged interconnect cable and replacing controller cabinets at six intersections—ensuring long-term reliability and efficiency across the corridor.
