Glenn Murphy is a Senior Project Manager at ADVANTEC Consulting Engineers. He has over 38 years of experience in traffic engineering and electrical systems. As a senior electrical engineer, he specializes in the design, development, and implementation of various Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).

Glenn possesses extensive technical expertise in tolling systems, Dynamic Message Signs (DMS), Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras, ramp metering systems, traffic signals, and control center facilities. His work also encompasses developing advanced communication systems that support both center-to-center and center-to-field network architectures. He is highly skilled at preparing detailed plans, specifications, and cost estimates (PS&E) for fiber optics and wireless communication systems.

He has hands-on experience designing and integrating IP-based video and data networks and has been the ITS and Tolling discipline lead on multiple Design-Build projects. His capability to translate complex technical requirements into practical engineering solutions has established him as a trusted leader on infrastructure projects that necessitate high levels of coordination and systems integration.

He has also served as a Project Manager on several ITS integration projects that employed a formal systems engineering process in the planning, design, and implementation of Advanced Traffic Management Systems (ATMS) and Advanced Traveler Information Systems (ATIS).

Glenn holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in California, Texas, Utah, Arizona, and Hawaii.
