INTELLIGENT TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS (ITS) Design Phase V PS&E
City of Inglewood
ADVANTEC is preparing the plans, specifications, and engineer’s estimates (PS&E) for the City of Inglewood’s ITS Phase V project, which aims to expand the City’s central traffic control and communications systems to enhance safety, mobility, and environmental performance. The project includes new fiber optic communication links, upgraded 2070 ATC controllers, and advanced ITS technologies such as CCTV cameras and communication hubs, all integrated with the City’s Traffic Management Center (TMC). These improvements will enable real-time traffic management during daily operations and major events, while ensuring system resiliency through redundant communication paths. ADVANTEC is also updating traffic signal timing with phase diagrams and providing full support during bidding and construction phases, including coordination with Caltrans and integration with other ongoing ITS projects to ensure seamless functionality citywide.
