INTELLIGENT TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS (ITS) MASTER PLAN
City of Industry
The City of Industry selected ADVANTEC to develop an Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Master Plan aimed at modernizing outdated infrastructure and preparing for the integration of secure, next-generation technologies. Designed to improve safety, mobility, and quality of life, the plan provides a strategic roadmap for adopting advanced ITS tools such as real-time data and video analytics, secured Ethernet and wireless communications, connected and automated vehicles (CAV), Big Data, and Smart City applications. The Master Plan will ensure interoperability with the Los Angeles County ITS Architecture and enable connectivity to the County’s Traffic Management Center (TMC). Developed using FHWA-compliant methodologies including a Concept of Operations and System Engineering Management Plan (SEMP), the plan emphasizes open architecture, low maintenance, system flexibility, and integration with multi-modal and freight mobility solutions. ADVANTEC’s approach ensures the City is well-positioned to evolve into a fully connected, future-ready transportation network.
