Jose Guedes is a Senior Project Manager at ADVANTEC Consulting Engineers, bringing 35 years of specialized experience in traffic engineering and operations. He has successfully led numerous projects focused on Traffic Signal Synchronization and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) for public agencies throughout southern and northern California.

His expertise includes traffic forecasting, modeling, traffic signal operations, Traffic Management Center (TMC) operations, and large-scale signal synchronization efforts. Over the past 28 years, he has managed synchronization projects involving more than 3,000 intersections, making him one of the most experienced professionals in this field. His extensive technical knowledge and leadership have consistently resulted in enhanced corridor operations, improved mobility, and better signal coordination across multiple jurisdictions.

Jose holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of São Paulo in Brazil and a Master of Science in Transportation Engineering from the University of California, Irvine. He is also a licensed Traffic Engineer in the state of California.
