ADVANTEC is developing a Local Roadway Safety Plan (LRSP) for the Town of Yucca Valley in San Bernardino County to enhance traffic safety and reduce collisions on local roads. The plan is being created in close coordination with key stakeholders, including community members, public safety agencies, transportation providers, the school district, and advocacy groups. The effort includes a comprehensive review of existing transportation safety policies, collision history, roadway features, traffic volumes, crash types, and contributing environmental and driver factors. Based on this analysis, the LRSP will identify priority areas and recommend targeted strategies and countermeasures aligned with the 4 E’s of highway safety—Engineering, Enforcement, Education, and Emergency Response—to address the Town’s most pressing traffic safety concerns.
