On-call Traffic Engineering

Los Angeles County

Since 2003, ADVANTEC has provided on-call traffic engineering services for Los Angeles County, delivering traffic signal design and improvement projects across major corridors such as Garfield, Eastern, Alondra, Florence, Avalon, Valley, and Whittier Boulevards—totaling over 230 intersections. For each corridor, ADVANTEC conducted comprehensive field inventories and developed recommendation reports identifying deficiencies and proposing upgrades including signal standards, controller and cabinet replacements, loop detector installations, signage, striping, and median nose cutbacks. All designs were prepared in accordance with LA County guidelines using MicroStation and AutoCAD and were submitted in multiple stages for County and local agency review. ADVANTEC also supported the County through bidding and construction phases, including preparation of as-built drawings to document any field revisions. The firm’s collaborative approach ensured agency coordination and efficient project delivery throughout all phases.
