ADVANTEC, as part of the TranSystems team, delivered ITS and electrical engineering services for the SR-91 Multi-Asset Projects under Caltrans District 12’s On-Call Contract. Supporting both the Project Approval & Environmental Document (PA&ED) and Plans, Specifications & Estimates (PS&E) phases, ADVANTEC provided preliminary design, cost estimates, and final PS&E for electrical and Transportation Management System (TMS) improvements along the corridor. These upgrades—implemented under accelerated task orders to align with concurrent OCTA projects—include HD CCTV cameras, switch and controller cabinet upgrades, fiber optic conduit improvements, and video detection systems. The project’s objective was to enhance corridor-wide communication and system efficiency, reduce congestion, and support real-time traveler information and active traffic management strategies.
