ADVANTEC served as the prime consultant to LA Metro on the SR-60/7th Avenue Interchange Improvements Project—an “Early Action Project” developed in collaboration with Caltrans District 7. ADVANTEC was responsible for managing the project from the Preliminary Assessment/Environmental Document (PA/ED) phase, including NEPA and CEQA compliance and technical studies, through the preparation of Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E), and ultimately construction support and closeout. This $15 million project focused on improving horizontal and vertical ramp geometrics, mitigating traffic impacts, and enhancing operational efficiency within a constrained urban environment characterized by tight right-of-way and heavy traffic volumes. The design accommodated existing land use and was coordinated with potential future widening of the SR-60 mainline, while incorporating ADA-compliant pedestrian features.
