Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Master Plan - Industry
Make it stand outADVANTEC was selected by the City of Industry to provide an Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Master Plan that addresses current legacy transportation technologies and provides a path for the City to plan, evaluate and integrate state-of-the-art and secured ITS technologies and a secured Ethernet communication system. This will provide the City real-time data and video for multi-modal mobility enhancement, safety, and improve the quality of life in the City. The ITS Master Plan will be used as a planning tool to prepare the City of Industry for future emerging multi-modal transportation technologies including a connectivity to the Los Angeles County Public Works Department Traffic Management Center (TMC), fiber optic and wireless communications secured networks, open architecture technologies, connected and automated vehicles (CAV), Big Data, integrated corridor management (ICM), Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS), Mobility on Demand (MOD), and Smart Cities initiatives. The ITS Master Plan will be prepared based on FHWA’s ITS Architecture and requirements, including Concept-of-Operations and System Engineering Management Plan (SEMP). It will also, incorporate the requirements of the Los Angeles County ITS Architecture. The purpose of the ITS Master Plan is to provide the City with a roadmap that will help to design, implement, operate and maintain the next generation of smart multi-modal technologies. § Next generation ITS technologies that implement “Open Architecture” technologies and meet current federal, state, and local standards

§ Low on-going operation and maintenance requirement
§ Familiarity of the system by the maintenance staff
§ Maximization of the existing traffic signal infrastructure

§ A system that provides safe multi-modal transportation solutions
